Unlike name-based criminal record checks, such as CPIC and CRJMC, the certified criminal record checks require you to get fingerprints taken.The use of fingerprints is the most accurate way to confirm a person's identity and criminal record history.

There are 2 ways for you to apply for RCMP CCRC

1. In Person Appointments

To get an appointment at our office in Richmond Hill, you only need to book on our calendar, or at (905) 771-8890.

After booking an appointment, you must arrive on time, with 2 valid pieces of ID. At least one ID must be a Photo ID:

Photo IDs

  • Driver's License
  • Ontario Photo Card
  • NEXUS Card
  • Canadian Citizenship Card
  • Permanent Resident Card (PR)
  • Firearms Acquisition Certificate (FAC)
  • Indian Status Card
  • Canadian National Institute for the Blind Card (CNIB)
  • Military Family ID
  • Federal, Provincial, Municipal ID Card
  • Student Card (Photo) (under 15 years old)

Non-Photo IDs

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immigration Permit Paper
  • Citizenship Certificate

INVALID IDs

  • Ontario Health Card (OHIP) 
    • due to Ontario Personal Health Protection Act, 2004
  • Social Insurance Numbers (SIN)

2. Cardscan Appointments

For all our clients outside of Canada or unable to book an in-person appointment, you need only apply a cardscan application. After submitting, our cardscan department will send you a fingerprinting package within 24 hours and be in contact throughout the process.

In the fingerprinting package, you will need to get your fingerprints taken by the local police or by an accredited fingerprinting agency in your country.

Once we receive the your physical fingerprints by courier, we will digitize your fingerprints and send the fingerprints to the RCMP. The process after we receive your fingerprints and receive your certified criminal record check is 2 weeks.
