Nigeria Police Character Certificate, obtained from Canada
A Police Character Certificate is issued by the Nigeria Police Force, and applicants outside Nigeria must submit through an approved channel. If you are in Canada and need one for travel, immigration, employment, or a family matter, we handle it end to end. You provide fingerprints and supporting documents at our Richmond Hill office; we submit to the Nigeria Police Force on your behalf. You never contact Nigerian authorities directly. Current processing time is 30 to 60 days where no criminal convictions are on record. The service is $746.

Our Process
We've got four easy steps:
Common Questions
Yes. We post certificates as they come back. See a Nigeria Police Character Certificate we received in May 2026.
No. We submit on your behalf and follow the file through to issue.
We are able to provide this service in person at our Richmond Hill location, as well as through our website for those living abroad.
Usually yes. Most immigration authorities require one from every country you've lived in over a set period.
We make the maximum number of resubmission attempts permitted. If those are exhausted, we initiate a manual review using inked prints. Most cases are resolved well before this point.
Certified Ink Fingerprints can be taken abroad and mailed to our office.
The RCMP advertises a 72-hour turnaround for processing background checks. However, additional time is needed for printing, certifying, packaging, and releasing the results.
Note: If a criminal history is present, processing time is upwards of 120 days.
Our experienced team is familiar with all RCMP application types and the processes they're required for.
